Franco Regalzi & Lucas Castrounis in Tortona, Italy
Report / photos of the international Wing Chun seminar at Franco Regalzi school in Totrona , Milan.
Franco & Lucas have developed a good strong friendship since early `90 when they first met and trained together at "The Basement" under Sifu Nino Bernardo in London.
Despite the long distance of the two schools ( Franco Regalzi teaching in Italy , Lucas Castrounis teaching in England) over the years have managed to meet up regular, train together and train/teach their students .
Italian ,British , Greek & French students over the year have gained skills of those meetings as they meet regular, blending together without politics, ego, or with an intention of any finance gain.
The two brotherhood schools have one thing in common, true love & respect for the wing chun system.
Since 2007 Franco & Lucas have held wing Chun international seminars in UK, Italy, Greece & France with success.
In the near future they have plans to offer wing chun seminars to more European countries as well in Canada & USA with the intention to spread good wing chun skills to the new and to the old wing chun followers.
The Dates for the upcoming seminars in Europe/USA/Canada will be published soon.
Lucas & Franco in July 2009 hosted in Athens, Greece, the 7th summer international seminar and in October 2009 they hosted a seminar in Paris.
Because of the good partnership of Franco & Lucas the delivery was clear for everyone who attended & both seminars was very successful.
This year in May 2010, Lucas Castrounis with his students from Britain & France, visited Franco in Tortona (Alessandria), for the regular annual international wing chun meeting in Italy .
The international seminar in Tortona this year based on basic & advance forms & techniques of Wing Chun kung fu system, which included: applications from the first and second form of the system (Siu Lim Tao and Chum Kiu); the use of the spring loading energies, a focus on precision during the practicing of drills and skills; and good long sweating Chi-Sao sessions.
Approximately 70 attendees participated on each day during which, Franco’s and Lucas’ students blended & practising together like one big family.
Everyone helped each other with lots of enthusiasm, sharing skills and information regardless of experience, and everyone at the seminar had a good time. After training, the students met to enjoy themselves and having party in Tortona.
On Saturday night we had a great party at an old tradition Italian restaurant thanks to Fabio a student of Franco Regalzi , which lasted to the later hours of the evening.
Great time, wonderful meal and fantastic hospitality!
On that night also Lucas & Franco celebrated the Oscar award of the short film "Game Over" which been given by Andrea Di Bartolo & and the Italian film commission.
On behalf of my students and myself, I would like to thank Franco Regalzi and his students for the well organized event and the hospitality. We are looking forward to next one in May 2011.
I would like to thank Pietro Garibaldi and Fabio for their friendship/hospitality and for the accommodation provided to my students.

Wing Chun Quotes
Wing Chun kung fu is a very sophisticated weapon - nothing else. It is a science of combat, the intent of which is the total incapacitation of an opponent.
