Kali Workshop - 25.02.2007

The flow and double hands of the Kali system

The workshop focused on looking for the flow, using and being aware of both hands, and putting aside any preconceptions or prior experience of the Kali system in order to explore it from the perspective of a beginner. It was great fun and a superb introduction to the Kali system.

A highly enjoyable workshop which has wet my appetite for Kali, and I will definatley do it again in the not too distant future. I thought that the whole day was very relaxed, and I beleive that your instructions at the beginning where alot to do with it. When you told everyone that they should dismiss all they knew about Kali, even the ones who had practiced before it put everyone on a level so that they could experiment without feeling awkward if they got it wrong.

I honestly believe that when that atmosphere is created learning becomes much easier.

I also thought that the time you alotted for each excerise was about right to get the feel for as I never felt like the next topic was too advanced...especially as I had never touched the sticks before.

Your delivery as well was well done, I think because you introduced a concept without giving too much away which makes the discoveries all the sweeter!

Thanks Lucas.
